Why I Quit My Job - and What I'm Wearing Next

I quit my job this week.

For anyone who’s done it, you probably know the strange limbo I’m in right now. I made the decision because when things got bad at the agency… they got really bad. High stress. Mixed emotions. Constant pressure. Endless problem-solving. Team conflict. Late nights. Early mornings.

But now? It’s quiet. Eerily quiet. The calm feels almost deceptive, like it’s trying to lure me into second-guessing myself.

And honestly? I have.
But I’m reminding myself why I made this choice. Why I started looking in the first place. And that trusting myself isn’t always comfortable, but it’s always worth it.

All this to say: I’m shifting from a jeans-and-graphic-tee “cool marketing” vibe… back to corporate chic. Think sleek lines, structured heels, and tailored trousers (are fun hats a thing?). I’m actually excited to reunite with a side of my closet I haven’t worn in a while.

Here’s what I’m leaning into for August:
- Unique blazers (most found at Goodwill or Value Village)
- Classic, well-fitting trousers (yes… the Aritzia Effortless Pants are worth the hype)
- A mix of graphic tees and elevated blouses
- Less miniskirts, more fun with accessories (like this scarf used as a "belt")

I’ll be heading to Clothing Bar on Tuesday to browse the racks - can’t wait to show you what I find.
DM me if you want a discount code to shop with!

Thanks for being here, babes. Wish me luck

Jess
